The September Reset

Hey Time Dorks!

Welcome to the September edition of the Make Time newsletter.

I've always felt like September is a mini-January. As summer winds down, schools start back, and work picks up speed, a lot of us start thinking about new goals, intentions, and plans for the fall.

There's something energizing about getting back into a rhythm after the summer.

But one of the traps I've fallen into many times is jumping straight back onto the Busy Bandwagon. Before I know it, my calendar is full, my inbox is overflowing, and I'm trying to do too many things all at once.

One thing Make Time has taught me is that transition moments like this are a good time to slow down and reflect. To zoom out, take stock, and ask a simple question:

What matters now?

I've done versions of this kind of reset for myself many times over the years, and I always come away with more clarity and energy.

So this September, I thought it would be fun to do it together.

Next week, I'm hosting a free 75-minute live workshop called The September Reset.

We'll step out of the day-to-day, take stock of what's going on in your life, and choose one area that deserves your attention for the next 30 days.

The September Reset

During the workshop, we’ll use a simple exercise called The Wheel of Life to reflect on things like work, health, relationships, family, fun, finances, and personal growth.

You’ll see where things feel good, where something might need a little more attention, and then choose one area to focus on for the next 30 days.

We'll turn that into a simple intention or experiment, while giving the other areas permission to be good enough for now.

  • When: Wednesday September 9
  • Time: 9:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM UK
  • Where: Live on Zoom
  • Cost: Free
